100 Layer Cake

How exciting! Our photographer, Mike submitted our wedding to 100 Layer Cake…and they made a lovely post today.

Wedding wedding wedding…that’s all I feel like we talk about! Ahhh…can’t it just be here already. Just a few weeks away and I am still finding myself meandering up and down all the wedding blogs looking for ideas. Oh yeah like I don’t have enough projects up my sleeve. But this one is the cutest ever…a KID PARADE! Ruffled posted this colorful woodsy wedding…instead of having a traditional flower girl and ring bearer, all the little children just marched up the aisle preceding the bridal procession. So fun! Happy Monday! Yesterday Jax and I had a mini photoshoot, since he turned 18 months last week. Had to post this one. He was saying ‘tookie’ over and over. He kept feeding all the cookies to George. You can see the best one here.

I’ve fallen in love with the work of Australian photographer, Alexandrena Parker. I first saw her work online on Wovenplay. Every one of her photos makes me smile…so warm and magical. After reading her bio and learning that she was born with cystic fibrosis, I am truly inspired by her. I admire her passion and willingness to help others. Please read her blog and spread the word.

Yesterday, I spent most of the day searching Getty for luxury images for a current project. I couldn’t stop staring at this one! Toys boats…agh I just love the colors. Maybe this summer Daddy can make Jaxon one to sail around in the swimming pool. I will have to remember this post from a lovely follower, she just made a little fleet of teeny tiny boats for her son Jack. He also plays with a few neat ones by Willow Baus.

I enjoy taking photos, but I have to say photographer Anna Moller definitely has a knack. Her work is so nostalgic…love the way she photographs children. Anna recently did a photo story for Papier Mache magazine on childhood and light. It’s so heavenly. See more of her work here and if you are loving it, you can buy it here.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with Instagram…’fast beautiful photo sharing for your iphone.’ Well, my phone is so full…I have no other choice. This is the only app that will let me take any photos…ha! You may have seen a few of these on my twitter or facebook, but I thought I’d share them again. Even through the rough days…they make me smile. He makes my days better.

Jax is rocking his new Kids Ink shirt he got for his birthday…one of my favs. I picked a new spot, by the clouds in his room to take his photos, since he is ONE now! I still can’t believe I have a one year old, seems like yesterday he was a week old.

I stumbled across the site of a talented Swedish photographer, Anitta Behrendt yesterday. I have to say that I am a little jealous she gets to photograph such amazing spaces…but she does awesome work, especially with color. This bright orange playhouse caught my eye. I’m sure if Jaxon had a playhouse, he too would have a pirate flag…his daddy would love that! Enjoy more of Anitta’s work here, you can find so much inspiration!

It was kind of a chilly day, but he really captured some wonderful moments for us…I can’t wait to hang some in our home. This one is one of my favorites!
