I sure hope everyone had a good weekend. I took a trip ‘home home’ with the kids to celebrate Mother’s Day at a luncheon on Saturday put on by my sister. It was so lovely! I got to visit with my grandma and aunts and of course my mom and sisters. I’ve been so busy with work and side projects, it was a nice tiny break. Although I was still trying to finish up my niece’s birthday invitation, which caused me to be late coming home to celebrate on Mother’s Day with Thomas and the boys. Due to my procrastination and awful sense of time management. I pretty much ruined my own day. We were suppose to continue the tradition and go strawberry picking and eat lunch like we did last year when Case was just a few weeks old. Super bummed at myself. But instead, we spent the afternoon (what was left) grocery shopping. Hmmm…I actually enjoyed it. My husband left the store saying ‘never again’…I said, ‘this is what I do all the time.’ Afterwards we went to his brother’s for a little barbeque. In the end, I was so blessed to be with my family this weekend, the people I love, especially our two incredible boys. Oh and Thomas was the sweetest and got me a Wacom tablet and new hard drive for my computer…eek! So excited, but definitely didn’t feel deserving of it.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome moms out there!

2012 was a good one. In January, Jax turned two. My niece, Hazel was born in March and eight weeks later our littlest, Casen was born. In June, my other niece, Addie was born. I joined crossfit. Took vacation to Mexico…and Thomas got a kidney stone. In August, we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary! We had to say goodbye to the giant shade tree in our front yard. In November, I made some much needed updates to this blog. Our dog, George turned 7. And most recently launched Frills paper + goods.
This year I have learned:
That I will be packing lunches for the rest. of. my. life.
That potty training is one big emotional roller coaster.
Grocery shopping with two kids by yourself is for the birds.
Being home everyday with my kids is the best thing ever.
I deserve a clean towel…I mean I do the never ending laundry.
The wrinkles on my forehead aren’t ever going away.
Anything can happen when you leave the country.
That I can’t leave Target without spending a hundred dollars.
I can still pull all-nighters, just like I did in college.
That sometimes success takes time.
I am thankful for all the memories, we have experienced some pretty low lows, had some great adventures, but I am so glad to begin a new year. I have lots of little goals for myself. I made a list, but I’m tucking it away until next year. Hopefully I can check a few things off. I’m pretty sure this year will will be a blast because this momma is turning 30…eek!
Thank you so much for reading my blog, supporting my shops and following me on instagram. Y’all are too kind…thank you for the sweet comments and love. Hopefully one day we can meet!
Happy 2013 everyone! xo
Cheers to one year!

One year ago today we got married! I remember it oh so well…one gorgeous, sweaty day of celebrating and dancing in the rain. It has been an awesome year. Full of highs and lows. Lots of changes. All of which have made us stronger and closer. We’ve been with each other for almost eight years…I can’t imagine what the years ahead of us will bring, but I know they will be grand.
I love you T. I love our boys. Happy Anniversary to us!

These two. I can’t get enough. They are so amazing. Yesterday was my last full day to hang out with them before we leave for vacation. Jax and I had a little paint sesh. Tried out some big boy underwear…again. Case almost rolled over. Hoping he holds out for us till we get home. Loved on them both a little extra. But I am dropping them off today. Jax is staying with his Aunt Jessi and Case is spending the week with my mom and stepdad. (and Uncle Tim is so thrilled to hang with George!)
We will miss you so much!

Happy February! Just wanted to share this little DIY garland that I made yesterday. My grandma gave my sister (who is a first grade teacher) these old vintage letters that were once used for a school bulletin board. She wasn’t really into them so she gave them to me…of course I found a use for them! I love how it turned out…so tiny and delicate.

ps. the weather here is incredible today…blogging (+ working) outside while Jax is running around the backyard with the dog.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I have a few designs in my shop, LITTLE FRILLS paper + goods. If your little one likes rockets or moons…you are all set. Large enough to drop in the mail or perfect to hand deliver. Personalization and custom orders are available.
Hopefully this will make your day…I know it made mine! top Our little peanut, Jaxon walking up the aisle at our wedding with my niece, London and my nephew, Weston. bottom Our first dance. (I’m pretty sure this will be larger than life print in our home…ha!)
Part two of our wedding photos were posted today…see them here. Thank you to our good friend Mike for such an amazing job photographing our special day!
veryone! Our little peanut is a year and a half today! Just in this past month Jaxon grew into a little boy, not a little baby anymore. He is saying more and more new words…and repeating everything we say (note to self: watch the f-bombs). I think his vocabulary tripled since my last update. So big. Tears of joy…I’m like a roller coaster today.
In the past year and a half I have learned so many things about life, parenting, about motherhood, relationships…but I wanted to share some of the little things.
I have learned…
that I can do almost everything one handed.
to wash towels in hot water, it makes them smell better and feel cleaner.
that mastering my morning routine is nearly impossible.
that I no longer need an alarm clock…my child is like clockwork.
that four hours of sleep a lot!
that all dirty diapers must go straight outside to the trash.
that I need a better (and faster) camera.
to put your child in the car after you return the grocery cart.
to never leave the house without an extra diaper.
that daddy has a stash of binks in his top drawer.
I’m know my list will continue to grow and so will my family and I. I am truly blessed.
