Jax can count! One proud momma over here…love.
Two and a half…
Yep…Jaxon is two and a half! Um, going on sixteen! Always wanting to (pretend to) drive mommy’s car, ride 4-wheelers, pretty much anything that has wheels. ‘I drive! I drive!’ Loves to ride his bike too…he totally smoked this little four year old riding in the neighborhood. Not trying to brag, but he’s fast.

Holy temper tantrums! They wouldn’t be so bad, but I have the strongest child in America. I’m trying to get back in shape, but geez! We’ve had a few car seat fits and they were awful. Standing next to the car in a parking lot with a screaming child…I’m sure some of you have been there before. But, when he’s not throwing a fit, Jax is so helpful and sweet. He brings me his cup when he’s thirsty, always says ‘pease’ and ‘tank you’. He knows how to feed the dog…oh how he loves his dog, Georgie. Waters the flowers. Throws his trash away. Picks up his toys (occasionally). Such a little helper.
Just some faves…favorite word is ‘Nope’, ‘Milk’, and ‘Roar!’. Favorite food is cheese. Favorite thing to do is ‘sit porch’. Favorite toys are ‘hairplanes’ and ‘inosaurs’.
Jax is wearing the kids arrow tee from eleventyfive.

very month is a new adventure with Jaxon. He seems to be a little more hyper, repeating more than he probably should and keeping us on our toes, especially when he’s chasing birds. He is so fast!
This month Jax went to the circus with MiMi, PaPa and Aunt Jessi and Daddy took him to the zoo! Quite possibly an elephant overload, but they are his new fav. And so that makes Dumbo the movie of choice.
We are enjoying our days (and nights) with just him…soaking up all the hugs and giggles and funny things he says. I try to tweet them so we can look back and laugh…follow @littlemanjax. I just love our conversations. So random and spontaneous.
I am so proud of him. He can spot a ‘hairplane’ from miles away. Everytime you sit him on the potty, he goes. He’s got his shapes down…’kyangle’ especially. Still learning how to play nice with George, he did learn quickly though when you hit, you will get a paw right back. Cries for a split second and we tell him to shake it off. He has his moments. Every once in a while his little stern two year old voice come out and he points! (I have to try so hard not to smile.) Still throws fits when he doesn’t get his way, what kid doesn’t. But he’s a riot and I love him!
Good Morning! Daddy recently taught Jax this new little thing called rinsing…drink then spit. It was cute the first few times, of course, but lately he wants to be in the bathroom all the time teetering over the sink. ‘Dink mommy’. He thinks its the most exciting thing…that and making hilarious faces in the mirror…ha!
oah, guess who is 23 months already? Oh my…that means little man will be two next month. I haven’t even started planning his birthday party. As soon as our christmas cards go out (posting them next week), I will have to start designing his invitations…so much to do!
Jaxon is still a little peanut…he hasn’t had a huge growth spurt in a while. Although he does have a head full of hair and sixteen teeth! He’s not the best eater, but he has his favorites that never seem to get old. We rarely ever give him anything with sugar…he is just a little wild man, full of energy, all on his own. He will jump or ‘hop’ as he says it, all day if he could. I can’t wait for him to see his christmas present. Hint: It’s like a trampoline. Hopefully his new bed can catch a break…ha!
Just like his momma, Jax does have a sweet side. Lately he is into hugging. ‘Hug me.’ ‘Hold it.’ (himself) So randomly…just melts your heart. He is so independent. Gets really excited when he does something or if there is a chance to help with something. ‘I did it!’ ‘I help.’ ‘I’ll do it!’ It is hard to imagine our little baby is now old enough to have a conversation with. I am excited to see what he will do this month.
ister Jaxon turned 22 months this past Movember 12th. Even though we couldn’t get him to wear a mustache for Halloween this year, he still made a sharp little Monopoly Guy. Trick or treating wasn’t really for him…it was a bit dark and he was cutting a new tooth. Hopefully next year he will be as excited as me.
If you haven’t heard, Jax has a big boy bed now. He enjoys jumping on it nearly everyday. The switch is actually going much better than we ever expected.
It’s just amazing what he picks up. He is now learning his colors…he knows orange, blue and purple. He can point out most animals and what sounds they make. His favorite is the moo cow, of course. And, he can count to ten (with a little help)…at the end he goes ‘…ninne, tennn!’. It’s so cute when he stares at me in the eyes and tries so hard to say whats on his mind. Sometimes he’s a mumbler and other times his words are super clear! Daddy sneezed the other day and Jaxon said, ‘Bless you’. He yelled, ‘Laura, Laura…did you hear him?!’. He had never heard him say it before. It made me smile.
Jaxon can pretty much entertain himself. You can just look at him with a funny face and he will start giggling. A few weeks ago, I caught him pouring out his juice on his high chair tray to blow bubbles…ha! He gets excited over the simplest things, which I am so happy to see everyday. He is such a good kid.
(btw…I am not a fan of mustaches, but my husband has decided to not only grow one, he has a beard too.)
Oh my…our little peanut has outgrown his baby crib. He climbed out two times last week. I went to open his door after a nap and he was opening it too!! I knew the day was going to come. So this weekend Daddy bought him a blue race car bed…he even customized it with his name on the front. It is really cuter than I imagined. This morning was the first time he saw it, he said ‘vroom, vroom!’ and pulled the covers off and was ready to drive it…but he was a little sad when he realized there was no steering wheel.
I took these photos on Friday, not realizing that it would be his last time hanging out jumping in his crib. Oh the memories. I’m just happy that he is taking his first nap in his new bed right now!
