My mom came to visit us today! She only lives a few hours away but I wish she lived closer. Maybe one day. She’s usually trying to do my laundry or wash my dishes…today, I wouldn’t let her. I told her to just enjoy my boys. She did.
A few of my favorite photos from my Mother’s Day weekend. We had such a blast relaxing with family, strawberry picking, taking naps and eating yummy food…I even had a beer, first one since our wedding! So lucky to have two happy healthy boys.

Just wanted to share the wonderful news! Our little one arrived on Saturday at 11:42am…Casen Blake Coggins. He weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 21 inches long. Happy to be home from the hospital today!
Easter was soo nice…couldn’t have been a prettier day. Jax had a blast hunting eggs and blowing bubbles with PaPa.

I’m an AUNT again! My step sister had teeny tiny baby girl yesterday…welcome to the world, Hazel Leann Holcomb! She is 6lb 13oz, and 20 1/4 inches long. So happy that we were able to see her, we had originally went home to celebrate my nephew’s baptism. Jax was so amazed, I can’t wait until our little one arrives and to see his face.
Wow…2011 was definitely a year that I will remember. In January, Jaxon turned one. In April, I launched Little Frills paper + goods…new products coming soon! My little sister got married in May. In June, we went zip-lining for Thomas’ birthday. I lost my job and Thomas passed all his tests at work and became a journeyman in July. We got married in August. Honeymooned on the beach in Destin, Florida. I turned 28. In September, we found out we were expecting our second child! In October, Jaxon’s birthday party was featured in Parents Magazine. In November, Jaxon got a big boy bed. Our dog, George turned 6. My nephew, Harley was born. And last month we found out we are going to have a baby boy!
I am thankful for all the memories, the ups and downs and great adventures that 2011 brought. So glad to begin a new year…lots of good things to come! Thank you so much to all of my amazing followers for reading my blog and for all the lovely comments and messages you have sent. Hopefully one day we can meet.

Yes…it’s a BOY! We are so excited, Jaxon is going to have a little brother! Thomas and I went to the doctor yesterday afternoon to get an ultrasound. It brought back so many memories, almost seemed like déjà vu. If I could only capture his face when he was looking at our baby on the monitor. I had hopes of having a girl, but I am so happy that we are going to have a healthy baby boy! Now that we know…the fun begins! Can’t wait to start planning and decorating the nursery after the holidays!

Yay! My step sister just had a baby boy…welcome to the world, Harley Alvin Michael Cooper! He is 8lb 11oz, not sure of his length yet. Hopefully I can get a photo when I visit tonight. I can’t wait to see him and big sister, London. I wish I could go now but Jax is still sick, have to wait for daddy to come home from work.
Just had to share my favorite photo from Thanksgiving day. Even though it was pretty cold yesterday, the kids had so much fun jumping on the trampoline, driving their mini four-wheelers and riding on PopPop’s tractor.

I’ve been waiting to share with you our exciting news! We are having a BABY! Yep, that’s me (and Jax playing with my belly button)…I’m in my 13th week already. We didn’t exactly plan for number two to be on its way so soon, but our little ones will be around 27 or so months apart…which is perfect. 2011 has been the most eventful year of my entire life! To be honest, I’m getting used to not knowing what is going to happen next.
I’m going to miss my body, it’s taken a year and a half to get it back to normal. There is just so much change that happens during pregnancy. We’ve been trying to stay pretty active…taking long walks and riding our new bikes. We played kickball every thursday this summer, which was so much fun. Hoping to join a soccer league maybe next year.
Lately I’ve been extremely emotional, I’m worried I may have prenatal depression. I don’t remember being like this with Jax. Although I haven’t been sick one time yet, which is nice. But I’d almost rather be throwing up then struggle with other stressful symptoms like, crying out of the blue, freaking out over silly things, having trouble sleeping or just being angry…please hurry second trimester, this part is not fun! On top of those things I’m trying to keep up being a work from home mom, which I love, but I am learning all of the ups and downs quickly. I am also trying to balance being a newlywed and keep working on our relationship, especially through all the changes. Its been hard but I have faith we will make it through as long as I have his support. Any advice would be appreciated.
I just cant believe our little peanut is going to be a big brother! Well, bring on the cocoa butter, ginger-ale and vanilla pudding…and let the midnight water chugging continue!
Whew! I think we are all starting to feel better now, finally. Feeling so lucky to be able to work from home and spend time with Jax today. Daddy had his turn yesterday. And Grandma helped out the day before…thanks mom!

Time to catch up…I’ve been a little under the weather since the weekend. Saturday we went to a dinosaur birthday party. Jaxon had so much fun playing with all the kids. He was a little scared to go down the big slide though. Sunday was a great day. We watched football. Daddy made homemade pizza. We went for a bike ride with our friends and their little girl, Eddi. The sunset was so pretty. Then we had waffle cones! Yum.
ello to all of my lovely followers, new ones too (thank you by the way). I just wanted to apologize for my absence this past month. So bear with me, I have a bit of catching up to do. This was quite possibly the busiest month ever…full of good times and big changes!
Since the end of July, I have been pursuing freelance design full time, so I guess you could call me a work from home mom?! Excited as ever, but crossing my fingers everything will work out. So far so good. Any advice is much appreciated.
I am now a married momma! My husband, Thomas and I have been together almost seven years and we finally tied the knot a few weeks ago. Our wedding was amazing! One of those weddings that you never knew what was going to happen next. That’s us. You can see photos from the day here and here.
While we were away on our honeymoon, Jaxon was having a blast with MawMaw and PopPop. Now 19 months old and repeating everything we say and do. He is our little pride and joy…we even came home a day early to see him. I definitely think he grew about 4 inches and somehow has a full head of hair! Recently Daddy taught Jaxon how to give ‘knuckles’…too cute to handle! I’ve been teaching the manners…’pease’ and ‘tank ew’. In short, his vocabulary has quadrupled and he would probably live outside if you let him.
This week was a big week for us. Jaxon’s first week staying home with me, well, since I was on maternity leave. Wow, that seems like so long ago. I am sure he will miss being at the sitters, but he will go there from time to time to play with his buddies. It’s going to be fun, going to take some organizing, a good routine and hopefully we will be set! (ps. any advice here would be great too!)
Oh and it is not over yet…it is my birthday tomorrow!
