As much as Jax likes playing with cars, he would love Unlimited Design’s products. So fun for kids. These are a few of my faves. The environmentally friendly car made of several layers of corrugated cardboard with cargo space for small cars. And the flat-pack tent, a cardboard folding playhouse that ties together with ribbons…a place to hide or drive toy cars. They also make seating and other decorations for kids, all can be drawn on!

Incredible installation at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. Artist Yayoi Kusama created a brilliantly white environment for an interactive children’s project called The Obliteration Room…where over the course of two weeks children who visited were given colored dot stickers to collaborate in the transformation of the space. Looks like fun! The installation is part of Kusama’s Look Now, See Forever exhibition that runs through March 12.

COMPOST! is a new children’s book written by Acadia McGee. She was so kind to have sent us a copy to enjoy. Compost! is an easy-to-read book that introduces the process of composting and encourages families to share in caring for our planet. Our favorite part is when the earthworms get dropped in! Order a copy for your little one here! Be sure to read Acadia’s blog to see how her very own compost is looking…it is so interesting.
Like Compost! on facebook too! I think she will be reading at Freedom School in Saint Louis next week!

Photographer Yusuke Suzuki has created Child’s Play…a page turning bed that looks like an oversized book. At night it is opened up little children to sleep in and during the day it is shut closed to create enough space for children to play in their room.
