I opened up shop…follow @jaxandcase on Instagram! If you or someone you know needs gently used, some practically new little boy items…newborn to 0-3 month items are up now!

Ladies and gentlemen…our baby turned one on Sunday! I can’t believe it has already been a year since we saw our little Casen Blake for the first time. We’ve had an such amazing first year!
I had hopes of warm weather and sunny skies, but the chilly wind and grey clouds didn’t keep us from having the greatest circus party on earth! We celebrated at a little park near our home with family and friends. I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos.
I enjoy planning the kids’ birthday parties, my husband on the other hand, who is always in charge of the food, always asks if we can just have a simple party with good food. Well, from the ring of fire cupcakes to the gold fringe on the big round balloons, it was just that! Ha!
Once all the guests arrived we ate some yummy hot dogs and hamburgers, popcorn, and chips. I think the little guest were more interested in the party blowers, candy and toys that came in their favor bags. They were troopers and weren’t going to let the weather stop them from playing on the playground and with all the circus toys and silly things to dress up with.
Of course you can’t have a circus party without a striped tent! Good thing because we eventually moved under it to stay warm, eat some homemade cake and open gifts…thank you everyone!
Happy Birthday to Case!

Jax is another month older, 39 months…so independent, curious and adventurous. Each time I write an update about him, I try to just soak in everything that happened the past month, what he said to me, the things he did. We have good days and we have days full of nothing but fits.
It has been a crazy month. With the tragedy in Boston and in Texas…I’m holding my babies close. Praying for all the families that are suffering and that have lost a loved one. He experienced his first storm, the power went out and we had to head to the basement with a candle. A tornado actually hit a few miles from our house. Power outages everywhere, so we stayed in a hotel for a little bit. It was his first time (that he could remember) As he walked in he said, ‘It’s like a home, I wuv this chair too!’
Hoping this month will be better and brighter! Summer is almost here. Daddy is building his first swing set that MawMaw and PopPop gave him for his birthday. It’s the littlest I’ve ever seen. He will love it. He loves to be outside. Riding his bike. Stealing daddy’s tools. Pretending to be a ‘worker guy’. He’s got a new little neighbor pal, Annie. He played his first game of tag. It was so cute to watch. Lots of giggles.
Yesterday we took Jax on a late night trip to Smoothie King…first timer!

5 months old.
Smiles and giggles for days! Casen is the only baby I know that laughs every time you change his diaper. I don’t know if he just thinks I’m funny looking or he’s just ticklish. I can’t seem to grasp that he is already five months old. See his photo here.
We’ve entered a whole new world…baby food! He had his first little bowl of rice cereal and he loved it. He can’t get enough. Loves to play with the spoon. He looks so tiny in the high chair…time to break out the bibs.
Rolling all over the place. Doing some hollow body rocks. Ha! He will be a crossfitter before you know it! Isn’t quite sitting up yet, but he is determined. I think he would much rather just skip to standing. Or jumping! Still obsessed with his jump-a-roo.
Oh Case, we love you to pieces! Daddy can’t get over your big brown eyes!
a whole lot of BIG.
Jaxon is another month older. He is growing so big, so fast. So proud of our little big boy.
Big trucks. It’s all he wants to play with. He always has one truck in each hand. Daddy took him to see Big Foot the other day. He kept saying ‘It gonna bump me’…I think he was intimidated by it. I mean, it’s big. He bought him a little big foot and has been playing with it nonstop.
Big milk. The first thing he says every morning. He has become a bit bossy ever since his sentences became longer. He could quite possibly drink milk all day without any food if I would let him. But that does not happen! Skinny little dude needs some meat on his bones.
Big boy underwear. Holy potty training, can we please be over now! He has almost, almost got the whole potty training thing down. But I probably never should have showed him that big boy underwear have an extra opening in the front. I’m still trying to figure out how to travel long distances or just go to the grocery store without putting a diaper on him. I’m so not into changing wet clothes every thirty minutes.
These two. I can’t get enough. They are so amazing. Yesterday was my last full day to hang out with them before we leave for vacation. Jax and I had a little paint sesh. Tried out some big boy underwear…again. Case almost rolled over. Hoping he holds out for us till we get home. Loved on them both a little extra. But I am dropping them off today. Jax is staying with his Aunt Jessi and Case is spending the week with my mom and stepdad. (and Uncle Tim is so thrilled to hang with George!)
We will miss you so much!
xo Mom + Dad

ast month was quite possibly the longest month of my life. Waiting for baby Casen to arrive. Well guess what…he was two weeks old on Saturday! And Jaxon was 28 months! Boys.
Jax is our little wild man. So dramatic, I think he will be on Broadway by the time he’s five. He has the funniest facial expressions. Reminds me of myself when I was little…always acting silly to get attention. His new thing is putting his hands on his hips. Go. go. go. A hundred miles an hour all the time. Says ‘hi’ to everyone, even strangers at the grocery store. He is also into saying ‘bye’ too…his toys, our house, even his little brother, ‘Bye baybee Tasen’. So sweet. He is learning how to count (he thinks he’s blowing out candles). Loves to jump. Draw. ‘Sit porch’. Basically be outside 24/7. Amazed by bubbles and glow sticks. Hates naps. Not a fan of eating…although he loves melon and berries. He could live on just milk or juice. Actually, he says it so much, it’s becoming a double word at our home. ‘Milkjuice’.
Case is such a good baby! Every now an then we get a poop explosion that breaks up the routine, but other than that, he just has his daily dose of the hiccups. He looks like a tiny angel when he sleeps. Speaking of sleeping, this little guy only wakes up once in the middle of the night. I think I’m getting more rest now than when I was pregnant. I have a feeling that he is going to be the complete opposite of Jaxon. They will become the best of pals.
