my son just told the neighbor girl, (crying over a bouncy ball) ‘we share balls…& toys. just like that okay. don’t fuss!’ #parenting #wahm

Haha! Wish my fingers would have been fast enough to capture this on vine! He had his hands on his hips and everything! Now, if only he would take his own advice. Just had to share this tweet from today. If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too!

oh goodness my breast pump parts have become cymbals. #motherhood #wahm

Hahaha! One of those moments where you turn around in wonder…and yes…it just happened. Welp, I guess we can only hope my son will become a musician someday. Just had to share. Hope you are having a great Monday. If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too! He says the most random things.

not whittle bitty tiny…BIG!

Everything is BIG in Jaxon’s world. Even him…he has already been three for a month! You always hear about the terrible twos, but I think that three is going to be um, lets just say worse, a challenge, hard, interesting. Let’s be positive, right?!

We went to the doc for his checkup yesterday. He was all over the place. He’s a wild man! The only way he can be still for a minute is if he was looking in the mirror or hanging up side down. He was good though, no super huge screaming fits. (Hate those with a passion). He is 3 feet 1 inch tall and weights 33 pounds. Threes across the board.

He just discovered his shadow. Likes to run around naked and go to the gym. Let’s pretend those things happened at once, oh wait they did. eek! Needless to say we are teaching him about his private parts and being in public. He love to sing and make up songs when his is helping clean or riding in the car. Into transformers and puppets. He is starting to like food. Still obsessed with milk. Not whittle bitty tiny…BIG milk.

This kid. He brightens my day and pushes all my buttons.

just told my son not to jump in his brother’s crib…he responded, ‘Can I dance in his bed?’ #motherhood #parenting #wahm

I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, sure. How can you say no? Hope your Monday is going well! If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too!

This happened this morning. These are the moments I would miss everyday if I wasn’t able to work from home. I am so thankful my husband lets me.

my son just explained to me how a tuba sounds…and I just got a face full of spit. #wahm #motherhood #parenting

Oh nice. He tried…gotta give him effort. Just thought I’d share my tweet from this morning. Kids they will drive you crazy but will always make you smile. If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too! He’s quite the talker these days.

when I was responding to emails this morning, my son decided to cut my laptop charger cord with the kitchen shears! #omg #wahm #motherhood

Oh. my. goodness. It is going to be a great day! (hope you caught that sarcasm) I guess I have to make a trip to the apple store today…good thing I have 90% battery right now. Just thought I’d share my tweet from this morning. How is your morning going? If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too!

Lately…these two have been good pals. Maybe it could be because they both have been feeling under the weather. We are all a little stir crazy. Excited though because we are getting out of the house tomorrow to get our family photos taken! Even the dog is coming.

I admit. I’m so bad at this. For some reason I guess if I shout, maybe someone will listen…instead it actually triggers an instant headache and then my throat starts to become sore. And in the end all that loudness didn’t even do a darn thing. It might have got their attention for ten point five seconds, but in reality who can even understand what someone is saying at such a high octave. So I have learned, that in that situation where I usually would have raised my voice, to remind myself that screaming and shouting doesn’t work and to just keep my voice normal and stay calm.
As a mother of two, I have learned loads about parenting and being a mother. I wanted to share some little pieces of advice that I have to remind myself of often. Some of these things you may find helpful. These posts are for all of the parents-to-be, new parents, aunts, uncles, babysitters…anyone who cares for the little people in the world.

my son just pointed his wand at me and said he was going to turn me into an alligator. Before I could respond…he said ‘abracadabra!’ #kids #parenting #wahm

So today Jax decided to be a magician. Just had to share my tweet from this morning…thought you would get a laugh. If you don’t already, follow me on twitter…@_lauracoggins and @littlemanjax too!

This is your chance to be a kid again! Whether you are trying to get your little one to sleep or to eat their food…close your eyes, snore, make lots of noise, act silly, get them to laugh. Kids have the most incredible imaginations. Play along. I’d love to illustrate my son’s stories, they would make for a great children’s book. So…learn how to pretend, encourage it. It’s fun and it helps build creative minds.

I am starting a new series thing. As a mother of two, I have learned loads about parenting and being a mother. I wanted to share some little pieces of advice that I have to remind myself of often. Some of these things you may find helpful. So for all of you parents-to-be, new parents…my first piece of advice is to BE PATIENT.
I am pretty laid back compared to my husband. But I sometimes we struggle with being patient, especially with our kids. I find myself in the heat of a moment, stopping to take a deep breath, telling myself to be patient. Honestly, I don’t want them to see me freak out over something silly. I don’t know if I just expect too much at that moment, but I do know that right now they are little. Just learning…I mean everything, for the first time! Patience is something you need to keep in your pocket every day when you are raising children.
